Kathryn trained as a clinical hypnotherapist with David Newton at the Clifton Practice, achieving the HPD (hypnotherapy practitioner’s diploma). At the time, the qualification was relatively new, but it has now been adopted as an entrance requirement for new members of the National Council for Hypnotherapy.

In addition to clinic time, Kathryn continues to build on her professional experience by means of formal study of related fields, allowing her to update and hone her skills.  She has been awarded diploma qualifications in CBT and SFBT for hypnotherapists (NCFE accredited courses), as well as attending numerous short specialist courses.

Kathryn has extensive experience in helping clients with a diverse range of needs and is a qualified solution focused hypnotherapy supervisor.

CBT    = Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

SFBT   = Solution Focused Brief Therapy

NCFE  = Historically the Northern Council for Further Education, but now a national body.
